"Pete, I understand your point of view and am glad you shared - so many improvements are needed and the amount it cost the dealerships right now (at least the one I am at) is more than a monthly invoice; it is reputation and opportunities. "

"This was MAILING addresses, not email addresses. Like alot of things with Vin that aren't right, just suck it up and go on with a product that is lacking in a number of areas. Sorry, no love here."

Google Plus One button in Vin

I am trying to figure out a way to mass invite all my prospects to join my Google circle.  It is not time efficient to touch each account and add them independently.   See More

Automated Address Updates - Beware

I have noticed here and there that Vin is automatically updating customer addresses. No one seems to know where this comes from or how to turn off. Yesterday I looked at my daughters vehicle information only to see an updated address that is not hers nor is it even remotely close to her current or any previous address. Now I have to wonder how many addresses have been updated, incorrectly, that we don't know about. We take a lot of time and effort to ensure that the information WE enter into…See More

What's your favorite custom report?

If you don't utilize the "Custom Reports" feature in VinSolutions, you're seriously missing out!For those of you who do? What's your favorite one that YOU created? I've created a few, but one of my favorites is the "Save A Deal" one - where the last 7 days of unsold showroom visits get e-mailed to my management staff every morning.Or the "today's appointments" report - where the day's appointments get e-mailed to the team as well.  Then, it's easier to plan their day & anticipate &…See More

VinSolutions Employee Highlight

Kelsey Jolitz

Creative Project Specialist - Art Production

Team Member since:    November 2010

Things I enjoy when not at VIN:

Traveling is something I love to do when I can, my camera accompanying me, capturing the surrounding beauty of landscapes and nature unlike what I am used to in the Midwest. For example, the Redwood Forests of Northern California or desert scenery in Arizona. When I’m at home, I enjoy keeping up with my favorite television shows like Breaking Bad, Dexter, and The Walking Dead.

The best part of my job at VIN:

I’ve always been interested in art and design, and I like that my position gives me an outlet to use my creative intuition when working with dealers to help design things like their email stationary. Working with one primary designer and passing ideas back and forth has proved to be efficient, and even fun! Bart does a great job translating my notes into concrete products.

Random Trivia About Me:

When I have the time and inspiration, I enjoy making jewelry and doing crafts. I’m also into historic architecture. Someday I hope to travel to Europe to explore castles of the middle ages. Another dream of mine is to have my own business and I’d like to go back to school to study at UMKC in the near future.
