Preparing for Launch

Close your eyes and imagine being strapped into your seat, back to the ground and eyes to the sky, listening in on your headset as the clock ticks down. “5, 4…” You feel your seat start to rumble. “3, 2…” Smoke billows in front of the windows. “1, launch….” The smoke clears, your seat stops shaking and very quickly you realize you are going nowhere. You immediately start looking for answers as to why you did not launch. You and your team, who are strapped to their seats just like you, start…See More

Could you be mine...Would you be my customer?

Most people need January to come off their holiday high and review the next year ahead. Marketing in February is key to retain and excite your customers for the next few months. Plus, tax season is approaching which means that your customers are thinking about how to spend their money before they even get it. With that being said, you need to start branding and putting your name in front of them before everybody else does.  What are you doing to put your dealership in front of your current…See More

Desking and Form’s with VinSolutions

Posted by Donny Stuteville on January 13, 2012 at 8:44am 4 Comments

One of the great products available to our customers in MotoSnap is the Desking Tool. Our Desking Tool seamlessly integrates with our CRM/ILM. In comparing the ease of use and flexibility of our Desking Tool, it is easy to see how it makes the tools found in your standard DMS - like a glorified calculator.

Want to edit your customer information, appraise a trade, or desk multiple vehicles and scenarios - all from one screen? Yeah, we can do that. Does your current DMS or CRM?…

A New Year is Upon Us

Posted by Ryan Rigdon on November 28, 2011 at 10:53am 0 Comments

It’s that time of year again when we begin preparing next year’s product offering and getting what always seems to be an out-of-date publication - current.  We constantly refine and update our software and service offerings and, as a result, there is always printed word out there that is bound to be, well let’s just say, the “classic” version of the here and now.

You’ve heard us say it before – VinSolutions is always adding new features, enhancing current ones and sometimes even…

BI WEEKLY PAYMENTS

Any other Canadian dealers unable to desk deals for customers that want a bi-weekly payment? VinSolution doesn't offer bi-weekly payments and we quote this to our customers 80% of the time.

To-Dos, Tasks, and Reminders... or Opportunities?

Posted by Tom Gorham on March 23, 2011 at 9:37am 16 Comments

Today, another manager asked me, "What's Tommy up to today?" I looked up and said, "I'm working on my tasks." He replied with a sigh, "Yeah, they never go away, do they?"

I started to agree with him and then thought about it and told him, "They're not supposed to."

All CRM systems have what they call "To-Dos" or "Tasks" or "Reminders". They sound like such a chore. It's like my wife's to-do list or reminding me that I promised to clean the garage this weekend. I hear many…

VinSolutions Employee Highlight

William Thompson

SEO/SMM Fulfillment team in the Creative Dept.

Team Member since: 5/31/2011

Things I enjoy when not at VIN: Even at home I enjoy researching SEO (search engine optimization) and trying to keep up every day with the constant changes in search engines.

When at all possible, I try to get to the mountains...love hiking and skiing.

The best part of my job at VIN:  Getting to research SEO, and track how it can affect a website’s traffic and conversions.

I love where I live!
I currently live in Gladstone, but I look forward to moving closer to work. Maybe a downtown loft or somewhere near the Plaza or Brookside.

Random Trivia About Me

My previous career was as a 3D Character Animator for video games.
